Roberto Nobili was a jesuit missionary. who came to India on 20th May 1605 in

Goa. He was an italian.
He adopted Indian way to teach Christianity. He wore sanyasi like cloths with a "choti",
He learned Tamil, Telugu and Sanskrit and translated some sanskrit texts to Italian. He was first European to do such things.
He named the Bible as "Vedam"
He was in the group of Jesuits who met Emperor Akbar and discussed christianity in Akbar's Ibadat Khana.
